Sports Day 2013

Its that time of year again where the best Athletes in each form compete head to head in a series of athletics events to impress teachers, pupils and other supporters.  However, this year is like no other at Chingford Foundation School. The games are generally held on the school field in front of a year 7, 8 and 9 audiences. However, due to building work occurring at school, the event will be held at Lea Valley Athletics Centre on the 17th July 2013. The event, for the first time in recent school history, will accommodate the top athletes from years 7, 8, 9 and 10. 

Students will compete for gold in track events such as the 800m, 100m, hurdles, relay and a wide range of field events from shot put to high jump.

Chingford Foundation School have had huge success in the athletics field this season winning medals in borough champs and excelling in league meetings. It is inevitable that the talent showcased in borough events, will be reflected at sports day this year. Below are certain individuals highlighted by members of the PE department as ‘Gold medal potential’.
